Limerick is 203 kilometres from Dublin Airport, the shortest of our western routes at roughly two hours twenty. The M7 does the work.
The city itself has changed a great deal — King John's Castle, the Hunt Museum, the riverside walk, and a serious restaurant scene along Catherine Street. It is also a practical base: Adare is 25 minutes, Shannon Airport 25 minutes, Dromoland 30, the Cliffs of Moher an hour and a half.
