Waterford is 169 kilometres from Dublin Airport — just over two hours on the M9, and the shortest fare on our list at €370.
Founded by Vikings in 914, it is the oldest city in Ireland, and the Viking Triangle has made a genuinely good job of the history: the Medieval Museum, Reginald's Tower, the Bishop's Palace, and the House of Waterford Crystal all within a few hundred metres of each other.
